  • Visa validity is doubled — from 60 to 120 days, giving more flexibility to plan your trip
  • Stay period is nearly doubled — up to 30 days instead of 16

Required Documents

  • A valid passport (must be valid for at least 6 months after application).
  • A digital color photo (like a passport photo).
  • Completed application form on the official MFA e-visa website.
  • Medical insurance covering the entire trip duration.

No invitation, hotel booking, or flight ticket is required.

How to Apply for an E-Visa

1. Register on the Website

Visit the official e-visa site, sign up, and verify your email address.

2. Fill Out the Application Form

Enter personal details, upload a photo and the scanned first page of your passport.

3. Pay the Consular Fee

The typical fee is about $52 for adults and $2 for children under 6.

4. Wait for Notification

You’ll receive an update by email. Once approved, you’ll get an e-visa with a QR code.

5. Print the Visa

You’ll need to show the e-visa to border officers. It’s recommended to print it out, but you can also show it on your phone.

6. Entry and Stay

You can enter through any checkpoint listed on the official site. Do not overstay the allowed period.

Important to Remember

  • You cannot enter Russia without a valid e-visa.
  • Submit the application no later than 4 days before travel.
  • Overstaying may result in fines or entry bans.
  • The extended visa rules take effect on August 23, 2025 — if you’re planning a trip after that date, you’ll benefit from the longer stay.
