Is it necessary to register for migration and is the RuID QR code mandatory before entry?

If the stay in Russia is from June 28 to July 8, does the foreigner need to register for any kind of account? We plan to live not in a hotel, but in an apartment.

We also filled out RuID: the app took a photo and voice, but the QR code did not appear. Is it mandatory for entry if we are leaving in just 12 hours?

If a foreigner is staying in a hotel, the hotel usually takes care of the migration registration. If they are living in an apartment, this is handled by the host: the property owner or the person with whom the foreigner is staying.

Migration registration can be done through the MVD, MFC, or an available official online service, if it works for your situation.

The RuID QR code is not a mandatory document for entry. If the app did not show the QR code, but the passport and travel documents are in order, you can enter without worry. If necessary, save a screenshot of the app or the error.
