Do I need RuID and migration registration for a private 3-week trip to Russia
Registration and stay ✅ AnsweredQuestion
I am planning a private trip to Russia for 3 weeks: Moscow and Kaliningrad. Do I need to submit an application in RuID? If I stay with private hosts in two cities, do I need migration registration in each city?
Also, after biometrics the app shows travel dates and there is a button to “change data”. How can I understand whether the check has passed and where can I get the QR code?
Answer
For a 3-week trip, it is better to submit your data in RuID in advance if the app is available and works for you.
Migration registration depends on where you stay. If you stay at a hotel, the hotel usually handles registration. If you stay with private individuals, the host party submits the notification. If you move to another city and stay at a new address, registration should be handled at the new place of stay.
If RuID shows your travel dates but the QR code has not appeared, this may be a technical issue or feature of the app. VisitRF is not the operator of RuID, so for the check status and QR code it is better to contact RuID support.
